10 Ways to Have Less Frizz and More Bounce Form Your Naturally Curly Hair

10 ways to manage those unruly curls!
Start today!

1. Don’t wash every day!

Try conditioning in between washes, you will get more moisture to those naturally dry curls

2. Try a low or no laurel sulfate cleanser.

Cleansers high in Laurel Sulfate are drying to all hair types, and naturally curly hair tends to be more dry than others.

3. Leave in some conditioner.

Rinse your hair in shower but leave some conditioner in. It will give you more moisture.

4. Towel dry with a cotton T-Shirt or a baby diaper or even paper towels.

These items do not have a rough edge and you should squeeze out moisture NOT RUB!
You will rough up the cuticle and add frizz if you rub to much.

5. Add a “liquid gel” to moist hair.

Flip your head upside down and apply. You need even distribution of product and by being upside done and scrunching it in helps with this.

6. LEAVE IT ALONE!

Resist touching while drying! The more you touch the more you separate the curls.

7. Use a hood dryer, dry naturally or use a diffuser.

REMEMBER For really curly frizz easy hair NO TOUCHING.

8. When dry, use a cream based shine product to squeeze curl. “Set it Free” from Deva Concepts is a great one! Spray it in your hands, flip over and scrunch. You will get hold, shine and less frizz through out your day.

9. Don’t be afraid of product, some need much more than one thinks!

10. ENJOY YOUR CURL!

Stop blowdrying the bangs, let it all go natural!

Red Bull Crashed Ice Munich 2010

Some sports of the world are just too wild to comprehend unless you actually see them. A cross between ice hockey, boardercross and downhill skiing, the Red Bull Crashed Ice races are more like something you might see Arnold Schwarzengegger starring in rather than a legitimate sport. This fast and fantastic sport is real, however, and it leaves spectators floored.

The Red Bull Crashed Ice World Championship took place in Munich, Germany earlier this year, and the city was absolutely enthralled to see the action.

Much like a science fiction, futuristic dream sequence, ramps, jumps and other obstacles were built overtop of the citys streets. The fans lined up alongside to watch the racers compete up close.

The Olympic Park, famed for Munichs 1972 Olympic Games, was literally transformed into a winter wonderland for the race. The track was designed to be easy enough to navigate to prevent any untimely crashes, but still steep enough to propel skaters to speeds of over 50 kilometers per hour before jumping or turning.

Needless to say, the Red Bull Crashed Ice series is an intensely extreme sport. In full-on ice hockey gear, dozens of skaters immediately witnessed their hopes of winning go up in smoke as they crashed at high speeds into the courses barriers. 50,000 fans showed up to witness the entire event which was spread out over multiple races.

Januarys Red Bull Crashed Ice World Championship was only the first of a two-leg event the second of which will take place on March 20, 2010 in Quebec City, Canada. For the first leg, a grand total of 64 racers showed up, representing 20 different nations. Germany, Finland, the Czech Republic and China, among other nations, were all well represented.

The course was designed to be the steepest artificial rink in the world, and with the various rollers, chicanes and jumps along the way, it was hard to pick a solid favorite for the race. However, many speculated that the Scandinavian skaters had the advantage due to their familiarity with high-speed Crashed Ice courses.

The Scandinavians couldnt pull out the victory in the first leg of the World Championship, though. In fact, Germanys Martin Niefnecker, the eventual winner, completely dominated every one of Scandinavias hopefuls. Canadas Gabriel Andre finished second and Switzerlands Martin Muller came in third place.

Other notable finishes include Michael Urban (fourth), Lari Joutsenlahti (fifth), Lukas Kolc (sixth), Kilian Braun (seventh), Paavo Klintrup (eighth), Arttu Pihlainen (ninth), and Andreas Ruegge (eleventh).

The Canadian track is set to be 575 meters in length, with even more downhill action and more daring twists, turns and jumps. Quebec Citys Cote de Montagne will undergo a complete transformation to get ready for the race, and athletes representing 8 countries will suit up to take the ice.

Laser Eye Surgery – A Great Eye Care Advancement

The concept of laser eye surgery is not a new one but people are generally not aware of its full scope and the kind of eye conditions that can be treated with this line of treatment. Laser eye surgery is effective for treating people with short sightedness, astigmatism and other eye conditions for which traditional cure may not be as effective and could take a long time to work.

Since your eyes is one of the most precious organs of the body, it is important to first consult a good ophthalmologist to find out whether you would be the correct candidate for a laser eye surgery and the chances of it being a success. It is also important to diagnose the condition you are faced with and whether the surgery can make a positive difference to the condition. People with high myopia are the ones who prefer taking the laser eye surgery route to correct their vision. Others who opt for this are those who have trouble focussing on near objects.

Astigmatism or the problem of blurred vision due to improperly shaped cornea can also be cured with this surgery and the effects are not only immediate but also sustaining. People who require reading glasses due to advancing age can also benefit from this surgery. There are thus many eye conditions that this surgery can cure and it all depends on how well the surgery is done and the competency and experience of the laser surgeon performing the surgery.

This option is thus becoming a preferred mode of treatment for many people and with growing awareness about the surgery, the way it has to be performed and the qualifications that an eye surgeon has to have to do an excellent job, there is better confidence among the people to go ahead and opt for this line of treatment.

Like in other fields of surgery, the field of laser eye surgery also has standards that need to be considered as these define the manner in which the surgery is conducted and the effectiveness. The latest is the Intralase Lasik method where the cornea flap is created using the laser and that is why this method is referred to as the gold standard. This flap creation enables the surgeon to access the insides of the cornea so that he can make the necessary corrections for restoring near perfect eyesight.

This new development has many advantages over conventional Lasik surgery with fewer chances of complications, better eye sight restoration and quicker recovery time. It is however costlier and if you can afford it, you must opt for this without any hesitation.
